Thesiger began travelling in Africa and Asia during the 1920's, armed with a Leica 35mm camera. "Vanished World" offers a selection of his spectacular photographs, spanning a period of 1920 to 1965, of the nomadic peoples and the landscapes they inhabit of Africa, the deserts of Arabia and Iraq, and the mountain areas of Kurdistan, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
