From around 800 to 1300 A.D., the Khmer dynasty ruled an empire stretching across what is now Cambodia and Thailand; its powerful rulers built magnificent temples to glorify their reigns, among them the spectacular monument known as Angkor Wat.

Following the success of his Khmer Mythology, the author return to Angkor Wat, the central and most magnificent temple in the Angkor complex, to focus in depth on the extraordinary wealth of information contained in the nearly 1000 square meters of magnificent bas reliefs, corner pavilions, and pediments, revealing the iconographic intricacies of this monument as never before.
