Spoiled: Refrigerators of New Orleans by Tom VariscoRefrigerators of New Orleans go outside in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. And, they have things to say. Most residents could not return to their homes for at least 3 weeks after Hurricane Katrina hit. They found their homes without power and their refrigerators filled with spoiled food. Most refrigerators were placed outisde for pickup and disposal. Many refrigerators were decorated with messages. Photographer Tom Varisco's photo essay captures the humor, satire and melancholy of the Big Easy refrigerator graffitti. Limited quantities of this private publication are available.
